Septoplasty – the aim of septal deviation surgery is reconstructive removal of the crooked cartilaginous/bony part from the septum through the intranasal opening.
Indications for procedure:
- Difficulty in breathing
- Obstructive sleep apnea
- Dysfunction of Eustachian tube
Effects of treatment: Restoration of proper respiratory airflow, along with naso-oral hydration, and mucosal clearance. The surgery does not change the shape of the nose. Patient has intranasal dressing consisting of intranasal Merocel type dressing for 48 hours. The control visit takes place on the 7th day after the procedure. Full recuperation takes about 4 to 6 weeks.
